Shortcut keys start a command by with a combination of the Ctrl or Alt key and some additional keys.
You assign commands to a shortcut key combination to make it easy to start the command. You use a key combination instead of clicking a menu item or a button. Shortcut keys include using the Ctrl or Alt key and also an alphanumeric key and or the Shift key. For more information about shortcut key customization, see Keyboard Shortcuts.
